Spectrum Health to consolidate 26 offices into 1 new facility

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health is planning to consolidate 26 offices into one new facility, according to the Grand Rapids Business Journal.

The health system will not renew the leases of the office buildings when they expire.

The new facility, called the Center for Transformation and Innovation, will house several offices, including human resources, finance, facilities management, medical group and other back-office functions. It will also be a learning center that will help promote innovation and advancements within the system.

The facility, expected to open in 2022, will be on property Spectrum Health owns in Grand Rapids southwest of the Cornerstone University campus.

"Beyond the strong bottom-line rationale for this project, the Center for Transformation and Innovation will be key to helping us realize our vision to provide personalized health that is simple, affordable and exceptional," Spectrum Health President and CEO Tina Freese Decker told the Business Journal.
