Construction on the children’s hospital began in February 2016. The 66-acre campus will also include a four-story medical building. It will open with 80 beds with the capacity to expand to 130 beds, according to the report. The hospital could accommodate two additional floors for a total of 210 beds.
Plans include a pediatric emergency room, a trauma room, an area dedicated to mental and behavioral health and an operating room.
