The new center includes many safety design features, such as alarms on the doors, plastic picture frames instead of glass ones and special sinks.
“From the moment they walk through that front door and we welcome them to the behavioral health unit to the moment they leave, everything is with patient safety in mind,” said Jeffrey Parobechek, the clinic’s manager, according to the report.
The creation of the new facility was made possible by the $3.8 million donation by Cindy Simon Skjodt and her family.
The center will see its first patients in July.
