CBC Real Estate plans $40M hospital in Kansas

Kansas City, Mo.-based CarrBaierCrandall Real Estate Group plans to build a 30-bed hospital in Derby, Kan.

The 65,000 square-foot facility, to be named Rock Regional Hospital, will be a community hospital with a surgical emphasis. Southlake, Texas-based Candor Healthcare will operate the facility.

The hospital will house 12 inpatient medical beds, 12 surgical beds and six intensive care unit beds. Three operating rooms, two procedure rooms, three cath lab rooms and three emergency department rooms will also be included.

The project includes an adjacent 40,000 square-foot medical office building.

Construction is slated to begin this year for completion by 2018.
