The for-profit health system’s plan calls for a 92,000-square-foot facility that would provide inpatient psychiatric care for children, adults and seniors and will offer outpatient counseling for substance abuse disorders.
Acadia Healthcare will partner with Reading-based Tower Health on the project.
While the supervisors approved the preliminary plan, the health system will need another round of approvals from the township, which oversees projects in Reading, Pa.
