Madeline Camejo, PharmD

CPO and VP of Pharmacy Services Baptist Health South Florida

Madeline Camejo serves as vice president and chief pharmacy officer of Baptist Health South Florida, one of the region’s largest faith-based, not-for-profit health systems.

She has led pharmacy services for the organization since 2018, bringing more than 25 years of expertise spanning clinical pharmacy, administration, healthcare finance, informatics and technology. Under her direction, Baptist Health became the first health system in the nation to staff clinical wellness pharmacists, a model designed to strengthen communication between providers and patients. She has overseen the implementation of acute care programs, the expansion of ambulatory clinical services, the standardization and growth of the system’s 340B program and the establishment of a retail pharmacy service line.

Dr. Camejo also restructured the system’s specialty pharmacy operations and enhanced its pharmacy residency program.

She earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University and completed an administrative pharmacy residency, and she has served in leadership of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Her work has been recognized nationally, including honors from the International Association of Top Professionals. Dr. Camejo is regarded as a leading voice in health-system pharmacy administration and the integration of pharmacists into team-based patient care.
