Cheryl A. Sadro, CPA, MSM is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Johns Hopkins Health System. In her role, she has financial accountability for Johns Hopkins six hospitals, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, as well as joint ventures and subsidiaries with Johns Hopkins University, including Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, Johns Hopkins Health Plans, Johns Hopkins International, Johns Hopkins Surgery Centers Series and Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients.
Before joining Johns Hopkins, Ms. Sadro was the Chief Financial Officer for UC Davis Health, including UC Davis Medical Center, Ambulatory Clinics, School of Medicine, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the UC Davis Medical Group and various partnerships and affiliations.
She joined UC Davis Health from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she was the executive vice president and chief business and financial officer for seven years.
Her career spans more than 35 years in public accountancy and financial leadership of major, mission-based health systems, including Ascension Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.
Mrs. Sadro has been recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She is also a contributor to many health care CFO Groups and regularly participates in national health care discussions.
Sadro received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Florida State University and earned a Master of Science degree in health care management from Troy State University.
