As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Alice Pope provides strategic leadership, analysis, planning and recommendations to ensure the financial stability, health and advancement of Novant Health. She oversees Novant Health’s corporate finance, construction and facilities, investment and supply chain teams.
In her nearly 35-year career, Pope has led numerous financial functions for complex, nonprofit, integrated health systems, developing in-depth expertise and a broad perspective. In addition to her experience in delivering exceptional financial performance, she brings a collaborative and outcome-driven mindset.
Prior to joining Novant Health in 2024, Pope served as chief financial officer for Inova Health System in Virginia, where she was responsible for financial operations, including financial reporting, revenue cycle operations, managed care contracting, treasury and investment management, as well as capital planning and forecasting. She was also CFO of HonorHealth in Arizona and Wellmont Health System in Tennessee.
Pope, a Virginia native, is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned her Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University.
