Lisa Bumbalough, director of the Putnam County Health Department, acknowledged providers at the department’s community health centers will likely “experience a learning curve” during EMR implementation.
Ms. Bumbalough added staff members have gone through various training activities to prepare for the transition. “While we are training in preparation for this change, we do anticipate some delays in our normal scheduling,” Ms. Bumbalough told The Herald Citizen.
“Please understand it may take longer to schedule an appointment,” she said. “Additionally, your time with the medical provider will also increase. Please consider these situations when planning your appointment, but rest assured these delays will be temporary.”
