Through the partnership, Perry County patients will have access to the MyMercy patient portal and MyMercy app. The initial takeover has a lease of eight years with an option to renew for six more, according to a March 27 Mercy news release.
“Mercy’s track record of operating critical access hospitals and providing high-quality care is exactly what we’re looking for in Perry County,” Perry County CEO Chris Wibbenmeyer said in the release. “There’s also Mercy’s virtual care services which will increase patient care options. And they have a unique collaboration with the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic to improve early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.”
