Meditech posts 4% decrease in Q2 revenue: 4 notes

Meditech reported $119.9 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2019, down 4 percent from $125 million during the same period last year.

Four things to know about the EHR vendor’s earnings results for the second quarter of 2019:

1. Meditech posted $82.3 million in service revenue, a 2.5 percent increase from $80.5 million during the second quarter of 2018.

2. For product revenue, Meditech reported $37.6 million, down 15.9 percent from $44.5 million during the same period last year.

3. The EHR vendor posted $16.3 million in net income, a 33 percent decrease from $24.1 million in the second quarter of 2018.

4. For the six months ended June 30, 2019, Meditech reported $52.5 million in net income, up 100 percent from $26.9 million during the same period last year.
