Prior to the Epic switch, patient information was stored in multiple EMR platforms.

“We are incredibly excited to offer this level and caliber of care to our patients,” Devon Hyde, president and CEO of
Lake Charles Memorial Health System said in an Oct. 7 news release shared with Becker’s. “It’s the most advanced shift in Memorial’s dedication to patient-centered care
and will allow LCMHS to be well-positioned for the future of healthcare innovation.”

Staff, physicians and clinicians at the health system spent 18 months preparing for the EHR transition.

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is a locally owned, regional healthcare provider.
