Epic approved Kyruus for its online marketplace, dubbed the "App Orchard," the Boston-based provider search and scheduling solutions startup confirmed Jan. 9.
Epic's App Orchard provides an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved reporting, visualization and content apps that run on Epic's software infrastructure. Through the App Orchard, Epic's hospital clients can now integrate Kyruus' solutions, which help hospitals match and schedule patients with appropriate providers.
"The ability to find the right provider is only as good as your ability to book an appointment with that provider — whether the patient is looking for care themselves online or coordinating through a call center or an office staff member," said Julie Yoo, co-founder and chief product officer of Kyruus.
