State police were called to the residence, where the man struggled with officers and resisted arrest. The man also kicked a Hazleton police officer in the chest and spit in the officer’s face while officers prepared to transport him to the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton to be checked for respiratory issues. Police later determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
