Uber Health will partner with Socially Determined to alleviate common, access-related healthcare struggles.
Using Uber Health's access to transportation and delivery services and Socially Determined's insight into patient care needs, providers can orchestrate critical deliveries to vulnerable populations, according to a Jan. 8 Socially Determined press release.
Socially Determined will assist Uber Health in servicing more than 3,000 healthcare organizations. By incorporating social risk data and analytics to Uber Health's platform, providers can ensure that their resources are going where they are most needed.
"Historically, the onus has been on patients to navigate their own benefits — from figuring out what they’re eligible for, to tracking down those services, to securing reimbursement. We're turning that model on its head," said Caitlin Donovan, global head of Uber Health.
