Samsung launched a beta version of Samsung Health Assistant, an AI-powered personal health assistant built into the Samsung Health app for eligible U.S. users.
The tool draws on five core wellness pillars tracked in Samsung Health, sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness and vitals, and combines that data into a single Energy Score with personalized recommendations.
Users can ask questions about their health and receive guidance drawn from Samsung’s health knowledge base, which the company says has been validated by physicians and certified health coaches.
Samsung is pairing the launch with its acquisition of Xealth, a platform that connects consumer wellness data to clinical care teams, according to a July 21 news release.
The company said Health Assistant will not provide medical advice or diagnostic and treatment recommendations, and future versions will add behavior-change coaching and personalization based on a user’s calendar and habits through its Personal Data Engine.
