The community will support and benefit from policies, programs and services focused on rural healthcare, according to a Sept. 17 news release. It will also encourage cooperation between rural hospitals and major tech companies, while promoting the use of new technologies to protect rural healthcare organizations.

The first priority of the community will be aimed at improving cybersecurity for rural hospitals. Digital health leaders and solution providers are eligible to join the community, according to the release.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
