Amazon's One Medical cut the ribbon on its first Connecticut location in Darien as the group partners with Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare, CT Insider reported Aug. 8.
One Medical will refer patients with more complex conditions to Hartford HealthCare. The company offers primary care services in an in-person and virtual setting.
One Medical has plans to open five clinics in the state. The company also opened an office in New Canaan in July.
"Together, we will be able to provide an exceptional experience for patients and recruit new professionals to the region to address the shortage of primary care physicians," Hartford HealthCare President and CEO Jeffery Flaks told CT Insider.
