Amazon Clinic general manager departs

Amazon Clinic General Manager Nworah Ayogu, MD, is leaving the company to join Thrive Capital, a firm that builds and invests in internet, software and technology companies.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished over this time period: integrating Pillpack and launching Amazon Pharmacy, building and launching Amazon Clinic, and integrating One Medical,” Dr. Ayogu wrote on LinkedIn on May 6. 

Dr. Ayogu, who also served as chief medical officer of Amazon Pharmacy and medical director of Amazon’s Pillpack, said he made the move to focus “exclusively on healthcare.”

Dr. Ayogu started at Amazon in 2020.
