Big Tech layoffs at Twitter, Amazon and Meta grabbed headlines in 2022, and the trend is continuing in 2023 as large tech firms continue to deal with an uncertain economic environment.

Here are three Big Tech companies laying off workers:

  1. Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is laying off 12,000 workers.
  2. Software giant Microsoft is laying off 10,000 workers.
  3. Spotify is laying off 600 employees, or 6 percent of its employees, The New York Times reported Jan. 23.
