Seattle-based UW Medicine has rolled out a new logo aimed at reinforcing its role as the health system of the University of Washington.

The redesign includes the University of Washington’s official wordmark, which UW Medicine said in a Sept. 4 news release will help create a more consistent identity across its hospitals, clinics and programs.

Tim Dellit, MD, CEO of UW Medicine, said in the release that the updated logo is intended to help patients and communities better recognize the system and understand how it differs from other providers.
