University of Miami Health System extends partnership with MLB team

University of Miami Health System, based in Miami, has extended its partnership with the Miami Marlins, continuing its role as the team’s official medical provider.

As part of the agreement, physicians from the health system’s department of orthopedics and sports medicine institute will continue working closely with the Marlins’ medical staff to support player health, according to a June 17 news release. The collaboration includes advanced diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation protocols designed to maintain player performance.

The partnership also includes joint community health campaigns throughout the year.
