Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health has signed an agreement for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings to wear the health system’s logo on their jerseys next season.
The 27-hospital network will also be the franchise’s official healthcare partner, with system staffers serving as team physicians.
“This partnership is about broadening our reach and impact in the city where Sutter was founded,” Sutter Health President and CEO Warner Thomas said in a May 12 news release. “For more than a century, Sutter Health has served families across Sacramento, and this partnership will allow us to serve and support the next generation.”
In addition, Sutter will be the official healthcare and jersey patch partner of the Kings’ NBA G-League affiliate, the Stockton (Calif.) Kings, and the presenting partner of the NBA Kings’ Practice Facility, Dancers, Fan Fest and Training Camp. Sutter and the Kings have also pledged to support local youth sports programs.
Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System became the first health system NBA jersey patch sponsor when it struck a deal with the Houston Rockets in 2024.
