Novant secures naming rights for NBA team’s new performance center

Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health is the naming rights partner for the Charlotte Hornets’ new performance center.

Under an expanded partnership, the 160,000-square-foot facility will be named the Novant Health Performance Center, according to a March 25 news release. The center will house training and performance areas, administrative offices, retail space, and orthopedic and sports medicine care once completed.

Additionally, James Romanowski, MD, an orthopedic surgery provider at Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and Joseph Garcia, MD, a family medicine sports medicine provider at Novant Health Lakeside Family Physicians, will serve as the team’s physicians and orthopedic surgeons.

The center is slated to be completed during the 2026-27 NBA season. 

The Charlotte Hornets and Novant Health began their partnership in 2004.
