North Kansas City Hospital, Meritas Health rebrand: 4 things to know

North Kansas City (Mo.) Hospital and Meritas Health have united as one brand: NKC Health.

Four things to know:

1. The move aims to improve care coordination and the patient experience and bolster the organization’s position as a regional healthcare leader.

2. NKC Health includes the 451-bed North Kansas City Hospital, more than 4,700 employees — including 600 physicians — and 35 care facilities.

3. While NKC Health features a new logo and identity, leaders say the rebrand signals something deeper: a transformation into a fully integrated, independent health system that brings hospital and clinic care under one umbrella.

4. The rebrand rollout will continue over the next year across hospital signage, clinic materials, digital platforms and patient communications.

“Our new brand is a celebration of the incredible dedication of our team, now united,” NKC Health President and CEO Stephen Reintjes Sr., MD, said. “We share a bold commitment to seek better answers and to honor the trust placed in us by those we impact.”
