The campaign, “It Doesn’t Kill to Ask,” aims to reduce deaths caused by guns among children by encouraging parents to ask other parents and caregivers about gun safety and access, according to a June 16 release from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Through a series of broadcast, print and digital public service messages, along with a website, the campaign offers tips for parents on how to start a conversation on gun storage and access.
The American Hospital Association and Children’s Hospital Association are among the members of the gun safety effort.
