Under the partnership, Tampa General will use My Gene Counsel’s Living Lab Report, a tool that provides ongoing genetic counseling information, in a December pilot, according to a Nov. 28 news release from Tampa General.
The tool can adapt to emerging disease insights, evolving guidelines and reclassifications of genetic variants.
With this new program in place, the health system will be able to provide access to genetic risk assessment for every patient diagnosed with cancers of the breast, prostate, pancreas or ovary.
