Medidata, Syapse partner to enhance oncology clinical trials

Syapse, a precision medicine solutions provider and Medidata, a provider of cloud-based technology and data analytics for clinical research, are joining forces.

The companies will develop a suite of solutions that will increase cancer patients' access to clinical trials and also assist trial sponsors in designing eligibility criteria and identifying community health systems as trial sites.

Medidata powered clinical trials for 18 of the top 25 pharmaceutical companies in the world, and Syapse poweres precision medicine for nearly 300 hospitals across the U.S.

"The many targeted cancer therapies in development today can save patients' lives, but only if we improve clinical trials so they reach the patients who can benefit from them," said Ken Tarkoff, CEO of Syapse. "Syapse and Medidata are uniquely positioned to tackle this problem, at an unparalleled scale, because of our combined partnerships with community health systems and life sciences companies."
