The hospital confirmed the breach Sept. 17, telling the publication that an unauthorized third party stole information from one of its servers and that it is working with an outside security firm to investigate the cyberattack.
Hive began posting confidential patient information, including names, Social Security numbers and medical data, on Sept. 9, according to the report. Last month, the FBI issued a warning about the ransomware group after an attack was linked to an Aug. 15 ransomware demand on Marietta, Ohio-based Memorial Health System, which shut down its IT network and had to divert patients as a result of the attack.
Missouri Delta Medical Center said the cyberattack hasn’t affected its main EHR system or its ability to provide patient care.
