The hospital launched an investigation into the IT incident and learned that an unauthorized party accessed its network between Dec. 18 and Dec. 19. According to a Feb. 9 breach update on Liberty’s website, that unauthorized party “may have viewed or taken certain information stored on the network during this time.”

Patient information such as names, medical information, treatment information, and demographic information such as contact information and date of birth may have been compromised, according to Liberty.

The hospital said it is still completing a review into what kind of data may have been compromised, and once that is completed, it will begin notifying any impacted patients.
