- Phishing remains the most common type of cyberattack on healthcare’s on-premises systems. However, cloud environments saw a distinct challenge: 74% of healthcare organizations that experienced cyberattacks reported user or admin account compromises.
- The financial impact of cyberattacks was significant, affecting 69% of healthcare organizations, compared to 60% across other industries.
- Beyond financial damage, one in five healthcare organizations reported severe consequences after cyberattacks, such as changes in senior leadership (21%) or lawsuits (19%).
