19% of medical devices run on unsupported operating systems, study says

A new survey from cybersecurity company Armis found that 19 percent of medical devices run on unsupported operating systems.

The report found that nurse call systems were the riskiest connected medical devices; 39 percent of them had unpatched critical vulnerabilities, according to an April 17 Armis news release.

The results were based on data analyzed from the Armis platform.
