The AccessVA service has been available since Dec. 18 for VA patients, who can access the portal using their existing DS Logon, ID.me or MyHealtheVet Premium login information, according to a VA news release.
Online statements will include a summary of services received at any VA medical facility and will be available through the portal for up to six months. The VA will continue to mail patients paper billing statements as well.
“VA is committed to leveraging technology to help veterans access their patient information quickly and conveniently,” VA Secretary Robert Wilkie said in the release. “We believe these advancements will help veterans manage their healthcare in more efficient ways.”
