Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare has set aside $100 million to provide raises to its employees after reporting an improved operating performance this year, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Discrepancy exists between hourly mean wage for nurse practitioners, adjusted for cost of living, and U.S. News & World Report rankings for best and worst states for healthcare, according to Becker's analysis. 

Nevada has the highest hourly mean wage for physician assistants, even after adjusted for cost of living, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
