The survey asked physicians to pick one of six answers that best describe their thoughts about their earnings in 2011, and general dissatisfaction was the most common response. Thirty-two percent of respondents said they were content with their compensation levels, 22.5 percent were satisfied but felt they worked too much and 3.3 percent said their compensation exceeded their expectations.
More than 8 percent said they were so displeased with their income that they were “not sure if medical practice is even worth it.”
