All senior leadership at Alegent Health will also take a voluntary 10 percent reduction in compensation, and the organization is adopting “new productivity standards” that will result in the reduction of another 245 full-time positions by March 3.

“We’ve been seeing the signs of a gathering storm in healthcare for several years,” said Alegent Health CEO Wayne Sensor in the news release. “Alegent Health is in a much better place than most organizations. We are financially strong and viable but we recognize that we need to make some changes to ensure that we stay that way during and after these uncertain times.”
