Maine’s St. Joseph Hospital Cutting Employee Pay by 5% for Three Months

St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, Maine, will cut employees’ pay by 5 percent for three months in reaction to lower volume of paying patients, according to a report by WABI TV.

The decision affects 800 people work at the 112-bed hospital, including leadership.

The hospital will also eliminate matching retirement grants, tuition reimbursements and repayment of student loans for new employees for the rest of the year.
