A task force that explored the plan found that neither county commissioners nor the public seemed in support of the plans.
“We have heard from the community,” County Commissioner Rebecca Sosa said in the report. “They… do not support privatizing. They have made that loud and clear.”
Ms. Sosa said, however, that she would support other recommendations from the task force, including stricter ethical guidelines for hospital board members.
