James Kaskie, president and CEO of Kaleida Health, had the highest compensation of any hospital executive in Western New York, earning $2.36 million. Two other Kaleida Health executives topped the million-dollar mark. Chief Medical Officer Margaret Paroski, MD, made $1.24 million, and COO Connie Vari, RN, earned $1.15 million, according to the report. All three executives’ compensation totals included deferred retirement payments.
Joseph McDonald, president and CEO of Catholic Health System, was the final million-dollar hospital leader in the Buffalo area, as he made $1.09 million in 2010.
