Executives at Texas’ Parkland Memorial Incented for Financial and Quality Successes

Executives at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas may receive $2.8 million in incentive pay next year if they can find a way to boost the hospital’s bottom line by at least $20.6 million, according to a Dallas News report.

The board of managers endorsed the 2011 executive incentive plan and approved the hospital’s $1.2 billion budget Tuesday.

The executives will also be required to meet certain objectives, including safety and quality improvements such as improving room cleanliness and decreasing readmissions for heart failure and pneumonia.
