Massachusetts has the highest hourly mean wage for nurse anesthetists in the U.S., and West Virginia has the highest hourly mean wage for CRNAs after adjusted for cost of living, according to data published April 2 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Below are the mean hourly and annual wages for nurse anesthetists in 45 states, according to May 2024 salary data from BLS. Becker’s also calculated mean hourly wages, adjusted for each state’s cost of living, using 2024 cost of living index data from the World Population Review.
