CEO Earns $630k at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis

In fiscal year 2010, Thomas Rockers, president and CEO of St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, received total compensation of $631,021, which included a $62,051 bonus, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

The hospital, which is currently experiencing a 4 percent reduction in inpatient admissions, allocated roughly $3 million in 2010 for top-level employee compensation, according to the report. That is roughly 1.5 percent of the $198 million allocated for total hospital compensation.

Over the past several weeks, St. Anthony’s has laid off 85 hospital employees due to declining patient volumes, although it is rehiring some workers back, according to the report.
