University of California Regents Approve 23% Raise for UC Davis COO

The University of California regents recently approved raises for several executives within the system, including a 23 percent raise for Vincent Johnson, COO of the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., according to a Sacramento Bee report.

Mr. Johnson’s salary will now stand at $553,500. A UC staff report indicated that he was being recruited by another hospital that was offering him more than $650,000, according to the report.

In September, UC Davis Medical Center CEO Ann Madden Rice received a raise of $259,000, bringing her total compensation to $960,000 per year.
