The SEIU will now submit the signatures to Santa Clara County for verification, according to the report.
If approved, voters in the district can decide on this November’s ballot if compensation for all executives, managers and administrators at El Camino Hospital should be capped at no more than double the salary of California’s governor, which was $173,987 in 2011, according to the report.
El Camino Hospital CEO Tomi Ryba, who was hired last August, currently has a base salary of $695,000.
