The average median hourly rate for medical directors increased 3 percent to a total average of $146.19 per hour from 2010 to 2011, according to Integrated Healthcare Strategies’ 2011 Medical Director Survey, but the position that witnessed the largest hourly rate percentage increase was the medical director of endocrinology at 17.4 percent.
