Lawrence Furnstahl
CFO of Oregon Health & Science University (Portland)
Mr. Furnstahl was hired as CFO in 2010. Prior to his role at Oregon Health & Science University, he was chief financial and strategy officer for the University of Chicago Medical Center and Biological Sciences Division, and also served as vice president for financial planning for science at the University of Chicago. In those roles, Mr. Furnstahl was responsible for articulating strategy for the University of Chicago Medical Center, ensuring that the university’s research and education missions are supported through optimal hospital performance, and developing financing plans for science and medicine programs at the University of Chicago. He also managed the budgets for University of Chicago biology and medicine — a $1.6 billion enterprise.
