Coach Holtz will present “Winning Every Day — A Game Plan for Success” to a group of approximately 600 healthcare leaders at the event.
Louis Leo Holtz began his football coaching career in 1960, as a graduate assistant at University of Iowa in Iowa City. He has held the position of head coach at several colleges, including North Carolina State University in Raleigh and University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
Coach Holtz is the only coach in the history of college football to take six different teams to a bowl game, win five bowl games with different teams and have four different college teams ranked in the final Top 20 poll.
He joined ESPN as a studio and game analyst in 2004. He currently appears on ESPNEWS, ESPN College GameDay programs and SportsCenter. He has also authored three New York Times best-selling books, including “The Fighting Spirit” that chronicled Notre Dame’s 1988 championship season.
Coach Holtz was born in 1937 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Kent (Ohio) State University. He played linebacker at Kent State for two years. He earned a master’s degree in arts and education from University of Iowa. He has received four honorary doctorate degrees.
