Tennessee Senate Approves Hospital Fee for Medicaid Program

The Tennessee Senate has approved a $239 million assessment on hospitals to pay for TennCare, the state’s longstanding Medicaid expansion program, according to a report by Bloomberg Business Week.

The fee, endorsed by the Tennessee Hospital Association in February, will help TennCare avoid $659 million in cuts.
