Christus closed adult emergency services in San Antonio to make room for its new children’s hospital, according to the report.
Greg Seiler, CEO of Methodist’s Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, said Methodist and Baptist are working together to determine a plan for managing this increased volume, according to the report.
Methodist has begun constructing a $50 million expansion of its downtown campus, but it may not be sufficient to manage increased volume long term, according to the report.
