The union represents 1,404 of the hospitals’ 10,489 employees, the release said. Highlights of the new agreement include the following:
• A 7.5 percent wage increase over the duration of the contract.
• An increase of the matching rate for employees with 10 years of pension-eligible service from 4 percent to 5 percent.
• An expansion of the number of employees eligible to receive the Kaiser HMO health plan, or its replacement HMO plan, at no additional cost.
